Due to the COVID-19 global pandemic, I have returned to the United States to finish my spring semester. As an update to my blog, I will continue publishing works about my seven weeks in Spain, as well as updates about coming home, quarantine, and moving forward with my semester and undergraduate career.
At the moment, I am living with my parents in Prescott, Arizona, and finishing my courses at UPO remotely online. Although I am disappointed to be ending my semester early, I am still thankful for the health of myself as well as my family, friends, and peers. Studying abroad has already offered so many new opportunities, and now I have one more: being a full-time online student!
My coursework has transitioned into a lot of composition and reading instead of oral and auditory practice, so I will be working on continuing speaking Spanish to further develop my language proficiency. Since there is such a large time difference between Spain and the United States, none of my classes are live and instead use pre-recorded videos. Although this new structure has required some adjustments, I am still glad to be receiving credit for the semester.
Once again, I am 100% safe and healthy. Stay tuned for posts about experiences, food, school, and lessons learned while I was in Spain!
